David Posnack Jewish Day School Named Best Jewish Day School in America

"While the credit for this historic accomplishment goes to its faculty, administration, staff, parents, donors, and especially students, SRS is proud to have played a role, as architect of record, in the school's growth and evolution since 1998," said Manuel Synalovski, SRS founding principal.

In 2015, meeting the needs of an increasing student population, SRS designed and coordinated the modernization and 50,000 SF expansion of the high school (originally built in 1998), and the addition of a state-of-the-art two-story gymnasium on its main campus in Davie, Florida. The Jewish K-12 College Preparatory School was honored then as one of Florida’s 10 best private schools.

Named for Paul and Maggie Fischer, the high school offers tech-friendly classrooms, lecture hall, media production studio, and black box theater, and college-prep arts and science courses as well as Judaic and Hebrew language studies. In addition to academic excellence, as evidenced by acceptance into many of the top U.S. colleges and universities, students have demonstrated athletic distinction in tennis, swim, and basketball.

In 2017, SRS provided design and construction supervision for a new and expanded middle school structure on the Davie campus that connects the Lower and High Schools via roofed walkway bridges. The Middle School is a three-story, 31,000 SF building featuring sophisticated tech-friendly classrooms as well as a dining facility that serves the entire academic population. The curriculum includes pre-college prep arts and science courses, Judaic and Hebrew language studies, athletic programs, and introduces a Kosher Culinary Arts Program. SRS is repurposing the previous middle school building for specialized arts and sciences programming.

This year, SRS has been modernizing and redesigning an existing school building in Hallandale Beach for David Posnack Jewish Day School's first off-campus elementary K-5 site to serve that local community's young students.
