Fort Lauderdale High
Fort Lauderdale, FL
Built in 1915, Fort Lauderdale High School was in dire need of modernization and expansion to meet the needs of a growing population. SRS was responsible for services from start to finish: schematic design, master planning, and on through to construction oversight. The $17.5 million renewal project added two three-story buildings: one for administrative functions, and the other for academic activities. The classroom building accommodates exceptional Public Service and Cambridge University School Magnet programs, general science, culinary arts, and ESE studies, as well as traditional courses. New parking and remodeling of existing science labs were also part of the plan.
